Seeing the World

Seeing the World is a Technology Lesson for second graders. They'll use the below left and right side links to view Google Maps USAGoogle Maps Worldgeographic locations both in the USA and the World. Beginning typing skills will be used along with the ability to select, copy and paste text. There is also a focus on manipulating more than one open web page at a time and the use of tabs in the web browser.
Directions: Click on the GoogleUSA or GoogleWorld images to open a new page. Select and copy (command-C) the text in red. Open the below Google Maps link and paste the text in the “Search Maps” area. Using bing maps or Yahoo! Maps is also an option for this lesson.
